Materials & Care Guide
The Seaform Standard.

At Seaform Studio, I don’t do fragile. The materials are chosen to handle the wild duality of the coast, from the heavy Pacific swell to the quiet treasures left on the sand.
I've chosen 316L and 304 Stainless Steel because even a Beach Emu knows that standard jewellery doesn't stand a chance against salt and grit. These metals provide a rust-proof and hypoallergenic foundation that won't turn your skin green. For the gold and silver finishes, a high-tech PVD vacuum bond is used. This process creates a surface that is ten times tougher than traditional plating, ensuring your 18k gold or polished silver glow stays bright even when the surf gets rough.

The Emu's Essentials
316L Marine Grade Steel: The "Big Bird" professional grade used for heavy-duty pieces that live in the salt.

304 Premium Steel: A high-strength, tarnish-resistant foundation for the lighter lifestyle designs.

PVD Gold & Silver: The gold pieces are bonded with either 18k gold or gold colour, while the silver-toned pieces use the same high-tech PVD process for a finish that won't flake or peel.

Shoreline Gems: Genuine sea glass, pearls, shells, and foraged stones that bring the organic soul of the Mid Coast to every design. Care Tip: A drop of coconut oil can restore the natural luster and vibrant colour of dulling sea glass.

Artisan Metals: Some of the decorative bails and wire-wraps use Brass or Copper for a vintage, sun-bleached look. Care Tip: These specific elements may develop a natural patina over time when exposed to heavy salt, but a quick rinse in fresh water keeps them bright.
Deep Sea

316L Steel, PVD 18k Gold & Sea Glass

Rust-proof and surf-ready, these pieces are built for the elements. After the ocean, rinse with fresh water to clear salt and dry with a soft cloth to maintain that mirror finish.

Mid-Tide

304 Steel, Pearls, Shells, & Natural Stones

Built for daily swims and an active lifestyle. While the steel is rust-proof, the organic treasures prefer a quick fresh-water rinse after swimming to stay clear and vibrant. Pat dry with a soft cloth.

Beads & Decorative Metals

Built for life, but better off dry. Remove your jewellery before heavy workouts or surfing. Put these pieces on after sunscreen/perfume. Keep lotions away from delicate beads and store in a cool, dry spot.
Welcome to the heart of Seaform Studio, where I create jewellery that balances the raw beauty of the coastline with the industrial strength of marine-grade metals. Every piece is born from a desire to capture the "worn by the water" aesthetic while remaining resilient enough for a salt-soaked life.

Built for the Pacific swell, these pieces are designed using high-performance PVD-bonded steel that is engineered to be significantly more durable than traditional plating. However, because I also use organic treasures like sea glass, pearls, and shells, even the strongest pieces appreciate a little respect to maintain their high-performance glow.
The Tide Guide is designed to help you care for your treasures, ensuring they stay as bright as a Mid Coast sunrise, whether you're diving into the deep or wandering the shoreline.
